Yes! Youtube is going to roll out its news video quality controls for smartphones. This time, youtube is going to replace the resolution numbers(144p, 240p, 360p, 480p, 720p, etc.) with some generic options. However, you will still be able to access those resolution numbers by going into the advanced options.
The main point of this new update is to make it easy for people to control video quality who don’t understand the resolution numbers. This new update will come with four different options named Auto, higher picture quality, Data saver, and advanced. Starting from the higher picture quality, it will provide you with high video quality while using more data.
In the data saver mode, youtube will consume less data resulting in the overall decrease in video quality. In the auto, just like the previous one, youtube will adjust the video quality according to your internet speed and bandwidth. And as mentioned before, in the advanced option, you will still be able to access those previous resolution numbers
And will be able to select the one according to your liking. Please let us know what you think about this update in the comment section below. Whether it’s really going to help you or not. This feature has started rolling out and it will be available to all the users around the world after some time.
